For me cooking is about the Growing up on a small farm in South Jersey close to the ocean, I was fortunate to have an abundance of fresh food. My dad always said ”I was happy as long as I was feeding my face”. For the most part I don’t recall seeing many recipes laying around the kitchen, I suppose that is how I developed my own cooking skills. Even now, rarely do I use a recipe and if I do I find myself changing the amounts, the ingredients or substituting for what I don’t have. I read recipes for creative stimulation. For me cooking is about the combinations of flavors that float in my mind like a song. Cooking comes from our soul. It should make you happy to do it and make others happy when you share it. When I got married, it probably is no surprise that I fell in love with a Chef….there is that happy girl again!
